Fans of The Witcher game franchise got really excited when Netflix revealed a few months ago that it will be working on an adaptation of the video game series.
While some trepidation was show by pockets of die-hard fans, the news was generally well received – but it had fans worried about who will be cast in the main roles.
While the first picture of Superman actor Henry Cavill as the titular character of Geralt started surfacing yesterday, Netflix has now revealed that Anna Shaffer (header image) will be cast as Triss Merrigold. She starred as Romilda Vane in Harry Potter, and also played a role in Hollyoaks.
Other confirmed cast members include: Eamon Farren (The ABC Murders, Twin Peaks) as Cahir, Joey Batey (Knightfall, Strike) as Jaskier, Lars Mikkelsen (House of Cards, Sherlock) as Stregobor, Royce Pierreson (Wanderlust, Judy) as Istredd, Maciej Musiał (1983) as Sir Lazlo, Wilson Radjou-Pujalte (Jamillah & Aladdin, Dickensian).
