HyperX peripherals are hugely popular among esports players and casual gamers alike, but one thing that has been missing from their product lineup are headphones for Sony’s PlayStation 4 console. Well, if you have been holding onto your cash until they do, then today is your day.
The company officially announced the HyperX Cloud for PS4 gaming headset, which has been licensed by Sony and designed specifically for PlayStation 4 gamers.
According to the press release:
HyperX Cloud is platform compatible with PlayStation 4, while offering 53mm drivers for high quality sound, and an aluminium frame for durability. It also features a detachable microphone for in-game chat while gaming and can be removed for mobile music, games and video. Meanwhile, competitive gamers can enjoy HyperX’s signature memory foam, soft leatherette cushions, and an adjustable headband for ultimate comfort.
Julien Millet, business manager for HyperX in EMEA explained a bit further: “HyperX is excited to work with an industry leader to deliver our first PlayStation 4 licensed gaming headset as we seek to expand our support for the console gaming market. Now is a great time to engage a massive console audience that plays on millions of PlayStation 4 consoles across North America and Europe.”
HyperX is an avid supporter of esports, with over fifteen years legacy of developing products for the gaming community. HyperX recently expanded its award-winning line-up of gaming headsets with the Cloud Flight wireless gaming headset, offering up to 30 hours1 of battery life. 2018 has also seen the expansion of the HyperX keyboard and mice with the introduction of RGB capable Alloy Elite RGB mechanical gaming keyboard and Pulsefire Surge, both with onboard memory and customisable through NGenuity software.
