At Kwesé Gamer we are all about giving players and teams a second chance. So if you want to see which teams will be making an appearance in the second season of the ESL African Championship, don’t forget to catch the last relegation match tonight.

The first round of the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive relegation matches took place on Monday, and saw Exdee Gaming beat Orgless Gaming in a matchup which could truly have gone either way.

PLT-PuLse also met their match against xTc Gaming, with the latter progressing to the next phase of the tournament.

The winners of the relegation matches will be included in the second season of the ESL African Championship, and will form part of the top eight teams to compete in the group stages.

The best two teams from the group stages will face off against the best two teams from the North African group stages at the finals in October. The North African group stages will run concurrently to the South African stage.

Tonight’s matchup will see Goliath Gaming take on VexxedPhoenix at 19:00, which will be followed by Southern5 against Flipsid3 Africa at approximately 21:00.

If you want to catch all the action, don’t forget to tune into the official ESL Africa Twitch channel, Kwesé Gamer’s Facebook page or on ESL Africa’s Facebook page.

In terms of the Hearthstone portion of the tournament, all the relegation matches will be played on Saturday, and will start at about 16:00 with Menlyn versus Fafa, followed by Djrab versus MackyBoi at 17:00.
